I would just make one correction to say that when the ISL is complete AND the joint CBA is signed it will become one pilot group.

From an ignorant perspective, do both row in the same direction?. I'm thinking shared goals/strategies, good coordination, etc.
And wouldn't make more sense to be represented just by one Local? as a group.
i don’t believe you have even started class. Worry about passing ground school. I saw we axed 5 new hires last month after failing their rides.

I noticed in section 13 we don't have an upper limit to the number of executive council seats. Last election there was some drama when we expanded the exco seats and filled the new vacancies with people who had just lost elections. It made allegations that we're not representative of our members' interests more rather than less credible.

Some form of direct membership input, like a referendum or even just a survey should be required and recorded prior to expanding/contracting the size of an executive council.

Also, we're going to talk about all the stuff we see wrong. Just the act of putting these by-laws out for input, recording the input and discussing these things publicly is fantastic. This whole process, IMO, was a very wise decision from the folks up top. Wise people build systems that don't need wise people to operate.

Not only I worry about ground school, I'm also interested on learning about the company and whatever details come to my mind.
I'm almost done with CBTs, then I'll do them again and again. A few guys washed out from skywest too, and some military pilots did end up on special tracking, it happens. Hopefully I won't be one of them.

Tape your posters on the wall, head down in the books, study groups, spend 30 min a night learning flows after the first week, practice flows twice a night once you get them down well prior to ground eval, chair fly the type ride profile, take breaks and unwind every so often, but not too often. Big boy program and they know if your putting in the effort or not.

Plenty of time on the line to learn Company details, CBA, etc. lingo, if not by text then by the guys in the left seat and right.

Work hard, Play hard, Be Safe!
