Manfreds Email...
 

Do any FDX guys have Manfreds (FRA ground transport) email address, or know where to get it. Thanks... Beemer

Manfred isn't real good about responding but he or Bennie will meet your flight if they are able. Manfred wants cash (60 EU) but what I do is get the hotel to pay him then put the charge on my room and pay that with the fedex card. Bennie used to work at the hotel, he knows how to do it without the 5 EU surcharge the hotel will try to add.

I've emailed Manfred several times over the years ... he has never replied. Upon arrival, I always ask if he received my email, he alsways says yes. When I asked why he doesn't reply ... he says his English isn't very good. I asked him to reply with just an "OK" so that I knew he was aware of my travel plans but he never has.

So ... you can "probably" assume he received it even if he never responds.

Manfred smokes Marlboro's in the hard pack. It makes a great tip.

Manfred never replied to any of my emails about transportation, but he or Beenie were always waiting for me just past customs at the airport. If this is your first time DHing into FRA wear your FedEx ID as you walk through customs and they will find you.

By the way, Manfred is a great guy and has responded to emails about other things. I've had stuff shipped to his home and then he forwarded it to my home in the US. Some things you just can't import directly from the UK for some reason.

On my first DH to FRA, I wasn't wearing my company ID. Manfred found me anyway (black rolling suitcase and Jepp bag I assume?). I was impressed.

(Or maybe it's the hunchback we all have?)

I J/S'd in last year for O'fest and Manfred told me to email him when I knew when I'd be passing back through FRA and he'd arrange a room at the Hilton for me at the FDX crew rate. I did. He did.....and he confirmed as much with a return email. Then he didn't want to accept a generous tip(he was eventually persuaded, but I'll keep the Marlboro Reds in mind for next time).

I am heading to FRA in a week. Any updates on his email??? Is it still [email protected] ?
