Bad FedEX 757 Rumor
 

Jumpseating in to work today, A Captain shared with me that the 757 program was in trouble. Something about a loophole in purchase contracts for the 757s that is now making their future very unlikely on FedEx property. Can anyone add to this?

Nah, you guys don't really want those airplanes anyway, they fly horribly! ;)

We already have 3-4 here. Lets go with them. Can you see the bid: vacancies for 10 Capt/9 FO.

We need those 757's!, if for no other reason than they are the most beautiful jets around (imho, of course), and that would sort of counter-balance those mini-Airbus's we have. Of course, the DC-8 is also fantastically good looking, as is the 747-400. But we know Fred's not getting any of those.:mad:

Hmmm.... Dang loopholes!! Just out of curiosity, who does the loophole favor? FedEx or the company that is doing the acquisition?
