I don't think that senior checkairmen decided to move over to the 73 to start at year ONE!

But then again, a valid question.

On paper it might be the same, but ask a freight-dog....
it is different. Having been exposed to operations for both over the years I can write that without a doubt cargo in the DHL system will be way way easier for Mesa or any other carrier to transition to than you might think. 1/10+ of the problems than those associated with working for a major airline as a regional. Anybody expecting to see them fail because of non- performance on the Mesa side will be sadly mistaken. It has nothing to do with Mesa, DHL is the easiest system I ever operated in during my career.

In terms of every day operations, going from A to B, is it easy? Yep. But, in terms of mental and physical heath and home life, hub turns are in fact, not easy whatsoever. It’s not made for everyone, and I’m glad to be out of that kind of flying. Wish them the best of luck though. It might work for some of the guys, but I hope it’s not a rude awakening for others..

Concur x 100, hub turns are killers and makes me truly appreciate long haul. Met only a few that supposedly enjoy them at ACMI or FedEx/UPS - Can’t be the flying operation, it must be their schedules keeping them in their own beds more often than not but most likely during the day. Once again, that stuff will kill ya sooner it seems. More power to you if it’s your type of gig, rock on!

So there you go folks. If true, year one pay for almost everyone. Those teaser rates at year 14 will probably never be realized because somebody else will underbid Mesa for the next round. Plus, the 737-400s will not be around for that much longer.

Yes.

Longevity does not reset when you switch aircraft types here. Same rules as when someone goes from CRJ to EJET, if you were Year 5 CA pay on one you’ll still be year 5 CA pay on the other. Don’t listen to the previous guy that has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.

stop spreading fake news. you are misinformed. pull out your PWA and read 2-A-27, and 3-A.
