just wondering if anyone who had written their block rep was in block 7. did he respond?

Yes. I emailed him about a month ago regarding Age 60 and retroactivity, and he got back to me in about 2 days, which I think is completely resonable. I emailed him week before last about another matter and he got back to me the next day so I have no complaints with regard to response time.

Sounds reasonable to me too. I guess I was more interested in what he had to say to other people's comments than his turnaround time! His only public comments that I have seen were all as LEC 22 comments, and those are obviously not personal, nor do all of those gentlemen represent the same exact folks. I was not clear. My mistake.
