As of today yes.....only because if we upgrade 10 Captain's this year the last few would be 5 yr Captain's. We have 2 going thru upgrade now. 8 more would finish the ABX 20+ yr FO's and start the 5 yr FO's. Clear as mud?

Yup, I assume that would cover that huge time gap of no hiring between 2009 and 2015. I'm guessing you work there... How is the outlook? (Contract stability, etc) Additionally, your personal guess for upgrade of new hires?

Losing my medical at some point before I'm ready to retire is one of my biggest concerns.
Seems like everything else is pretty status quo. ATI pay rates. 14 days off per month compared to 12 per 28 days at ATI (not accounting for ATI getting travel to/from work on day 1 and 16). 6 year agreement 🤢
I guess I'm also curious if the "hotels for hot reserve" is really temporary or expected to continue indefinitely.

A side note. Line holders who bid R1 assignments from their FLEX day are provided a hotel room (CBA).
Catering is provided for all flights at this time....again a portion of this is covid side letter. All AMZ flights are catered regardless of the Covid SL per customer request. This was done to prevent crews from having operational issues should any delay occur within their system. It is unknown if that practice will continue. Any delay on a long duty day could trigger a crew taking a "lunch break" (on their own dime) prior to an extended flight with a ground delay beforehand without catering.

The R1 hotel rooms are for all R1 crews during covid; it's a condition of a "Covid" side letter addressing various operational issue during pandemic times. The original letter had a drop dead date that continues to get extended at 3 or 4 month intervals by the company. I would also imagine ABX will terminate these items at some point in the future. The R1 rooms will most likely be addressed at that time by the Exco, but it is not contractual, therefore goodwill, if any, is company discretion.

The policy at my current employer covers anything, including preexisting conditions, but only after a certain term of participation. Our max duration of combined STD/LTD benefits is 48 months.
ALPA's better LTD plan (benefit to age 65) requires an insurability survey that presents a challenge for those with any preexisting conditions.
