Question for the Moderator
Why would you move the thread “ATI Interview” to the Atlas/Polar/Southern sub forum? ATI is not a part of either of those companies.
|
I moved a couple thousand threads that day, I'll be surprised if that's the only one I goofed up. Let me know if you see anything else.
|
RickAir, if separate sub folders for each is out of the question could ATI, ABX, OMNI become ATSG companies?

Not at all. ATI, ABX, and Omni operate as their own entities under the ATSG corporate umbrella.

In addition, Western Global, which is independent, and Northern Air Cargo, which is a Saltchuk company along with Aloha Air Cargo, also got moved to the Atlas/Polar/Southern heading. |

Rickair, I know you are considering that request from your response, but in the mean time, it does appear, respectfully, that ATI (Air Transport International, which is an ATSG company) got moved into the Atlas/Polar/Southern heading.

OK, I moved Northern and Western, and one more ATI thread back to cargo.

A change of that heading to ACMI, perhaps, would suffice? That's basically what I had hoped to see.

Which heading are you referring to?
PS Thanks for doing all this tidying up. |
Can we not get too crazy with the extra sub forums? It’s gonna get harder to find topics if we have too many of these. Should we also group wholly owned regionals with the parent major company, or should they stay in the regional section?

I was the person who advocated for sub forums in the regionals. Before that, regionals was a mess, the change has been well received by a vast amount of people. |
ATSG might be considered in the same light, since it’s the parent company of airlines that operate in different sectors of the industry.

Like Atlas Air WorldWide Holdings is the parent company of airlines ( Atlas, Southern, Polar) that operate in different sector of the industry.
I'd be happy with an "Other" sub with any threads that are applicable across the sector left in the main Cargo forum. |

Omni isn't much of a cargo outfit, but I don't think anyone's advocating for moving the Omni threads to a Cargo/ATSG sub-forum.

Nice work making the extra sub-forums! This is way more organized. Thanks.

Glad that works for you...
The Atlas/Southern/Polar thing is different than ATI/ABX sharing an ATSG sub. The ATSG carriers are independently operated under different certificates, which I understand to be very different from the AAWW carriers, so it really makes more sense for each ATSG carrier to get their own forum. You can't please everyone, but I see the decluttering of the main Cargo forum that has already been done as a step in the right direction. |
