Well. I don't know about that. There is something in the contract about dropping but I've never met anyone that was able to do it. So, maybe it's there, but we've never been staffed well enough to allow it. My guess we never will be.

Nope you can only trip trade with open time and or drop down to 72 hours I believe. Ie. guarantee - 3 hours. Actually done this one, and ended up with 20 days off in the pay period.

That may be the case at UPS, but if you look at my original post you can see I was replying to viktorbravo's question about FedEx. We (FedEx) can drop down to zero if the position is manned well enough -- I've actually pressed-to-test that one.

He/she would go to SDF, ANC, ONT, or MIA. They will put you wherever they need you the most, recently folks with "heavy" experience have been going to ANC but only 2 classes ago a former MD11 guy went to ONT 757/767 because that's where they needed him. (which I believe is where he wanted to end up)

As a reserve guy you'd probably bid 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Minimum 12 days off in a 28 day period (I hope I got this right)

As far as training, I just finished my recurrent at brown. I've been at 4 different airlines before and must say this was the best training experience I’ve ever had. Seemed like they were more interested in teaching than in intimidating - what a concept. (I know nothing about training at purple, I am just comparing to training at some of my previous airlines)

I must say I'm really impressed with what I've seen at brown so far.

15 on 13 off in a 28 day reserve bid period. If on an international bird your reserve days are in 15 day chunks. Domestic in think are somehow broken up in half.

It is a nice feature ...

At my previous passenger employer you could drop to a min of 40 hours credit or pick up to a max of 99 Credit.

I have done everything in between !

STAFFING PERMITTING of course ...

Later, Brown CC
