Where Fort Art Thou Tony C???

Tony, are you still among the living? Since your overwhelming win, we've not heard hide nor hair from you. Are you still going to be contributing to this forum? I've enjoyed your posts and hope that you continue to grace us with your written presence. And just in case anyone thinks I'm being sarcastic here, I'm not. I'm serious, and I hope you're doing well and not getting overwhelmed with your new duties.

Happy Independence Day to all my fellow aviators.:):)

Tony can speak for himself probably much more eloquently than I can, but as a the block 5 rep he has to be careful. Sometimes what "Tony" thinks can be taken as the MEC member's position, or vice versa. Like Sleepy--he has to walk a careful line. One thing I am hoping he can do is use those comm skills to send out a bit more info than previous guys did...and I'm optimistic he'll do that.

It just seems that if you are to have fruitful discourse with your block rep, you should know what he thinks. So what, if the rest of the MEC does or doesn't agree with it? I think we've had enough of the secret star chamber decision making around here.

Tony cannot be on this site anymore because of his fiduciary responsibilities to every pilot on the property.

He is exactly the same as the other guys on the MEC. You don't hear from them on these blogs for the same reason. What do you think? Become a MEC and sell your soul to the devil? Some of you guys should be ashamed of some of the darts you have thrown on this sight toward the MEC.

There is no doubt in my mind that being a leader in the union is a tough job. It's often thankless and there's a lot of work that gets done without much recognition. It's also voluntary. And there are definite perks to the job. As in everything, you have to take the good with the bad. If you don't have a thick skin, then don't run for the job. If you do decide to run for the job, remember who you work for. With that said, I don't feel sorry for anyone on the MEC, anonymous darts or not.

Well, I miss you, Tony. I hope you continue to be an active participant on this board, even if it means relegated to replying to my silly threads in the Hangar! ;) I have come to appreciate your wisdom and wit, both of which are sometimes sorely missing here.

Fort? I didn't see no stinkin' fort!! :p

I'm alive, I'm staying busy, and I'm still reading/listening, but I'm doing my best to refrain from posting.

My "brief" explanation why

Instead of contributing here, I've contributed to other things that have been written and that are now being picked apart here. ;) I knew the job description involved spear-catching, but I had hoped to get a few practice sessions in before the All-County Track Meet.

Anyway, I've got my Outlook up and running with ALPA webmail now, so feel free to zap me there.
