Real Time Access to LOA Voting Results?

Do you think anyone has "real time" access to the vote tally?

Does the company who runs the voting website?

Does ALPA national?

Does our MEC?

Does FDX Mgt?

...or is it held confidentialy by the company running the voting website and then released to ALPA and our MEC, once completed?

What's the timeline for release from our MEC to FDX Mgt, and from our MEC to the union members at large?

A response from anyone with first-hand knowledge of how the vote tally actually works is greatly appreciated.

Great Questions...

This has been on my mind as well...I do NOT know how it works but I think that the union has real-time results and the people passionate about this LOA voted in the first 48 hours.

I also think that since the Union and Company are under a holding-hands relationship that they share this info (the realtime voting results). I bet the NO voters were out in full swing and we will continue to see vote YES emails and FCIF until they get their 50.1+ and then it will stop.

I know, I know...conspiracy theory.

BWP...looking over my shoulder!

My understanding from a trustworthy source Alpa has access to the number of voters. Not a running count.

Vote information is posted on the FDX ALPA message board.

So with members in good standing that are also part of mgmnt, I would assume the company has this information also

As Sleepy said,

There is a thread addressing this on the ALPA web boards. Since Sleepy didn't want to post here the in's-n-out's of this, the question of what the FDX MEC can access is posted there.

Why don't we no voters change our vote to yes. Everyone will think this is going to pass in a landslide, then at the last minute change our votes back to no. What would the company do with all the celebration cake in the AOC?:o

Gents -

Just wondering how the vote is progressing....

From the ALPA website, it shows the MEC has access to "how many people have voted", but not "how people voted".

I think the MEC are very smart people, and realize the folks who voted early, were most likely the most passionate voters, and most likely voted "No".

The "yes" voters and "fence sitters" took a little longer to vote or still have not decided.

If those generalziations are true, then the "volume" of voting will provide the MEC with insight on how the vote is going, regardless of wether they have access to the actual vote count.

Decreasing volume over time....LOA in trouble.

Increasing volume....LOA has a greater chance to pass.

I think it will be telling to see how many more hub turn mtgs and "...just get out and vote" e-mails we get from the MEC and mgt over the next week.

It simply ain't over until the fat lady sings.;)

I wonder if they have access to how many have changed their vote?
