You won't need a current converter unless you have a REALLY OLD laptop power supply or cellphone charger. Most can handle 50-60hz and 110-240v - look on your charger. You should get some plug adapters though. You can always get what you need in country, but you'll pay about 10 times what you should. Just get a set from Wal-Mart/Target, making sure it has the countries you need. If you really search, you can find a round plug that fits the power receptical in the MD-11 cockpit. I got mine from Hap C. He had a bag full that he picked up in Japan. I used to use a grey plastic coated 3 prong to 2 prong plug I picked up at Lowes. I just bent the prongs to fit. Some guys use the plug adapter that has the angled prongs.

More importantly, you need to buy/rig an adapter for the cockpit if you're going to the Maddog. That way you can use your laptop to accesss important company information that may be stored on said laptop. ;)

That's the one piece of equipment I haven't been able to locate yet. Where did you get yours?

I've "heard" the standard Australian plug converter plugs into the 400hz power outlet in the cockpit ... work pretty good actually. Hope his helps.

From what I recall, the vast majority of bathrooms in almost every hotel we stay at throughout the world, usually have a 110VAC outlet. The proviso usually says it's just for electric shavers, but I've used it for both my computer as well as my cell phone, and never had a problem. The other technique is to borrow one from the hotel desk, as they usually have them. Or you could just shell out a few bucks and not bother with any of the above.

My Australian one didn't look like it would fit. Maybe a couple of solid whacks with the PAT...

I thought your butt-plug was a gas powered two-stroke...

Yes, the Australian will work, just wiggle into the two correct slots!

You can also bend the prongs on one of these to fit the MD-11 cockpit plug as well!

And here is what I have for the cockpit, from a Japanese company. There may be other manufacturers. Turn it and it locks in place!

This is precisely the reason I left your "crashpad". Turned out to be more of a gay bathhouse than anything. I can't scrub enough. So bad, I had to run all the way to AK! :D

Here's a link to the REI store's Franzus, All-in-One adapter- http://www.rei.com/online/store/Prod...1-c419136671f1. I've had one for 10 years and have yet to go anywhere in the world where it didn't work, and where I couldn't plug in my computer. It's about 2"x2"x3". No need to carry multiple adapter plugs in a bag. It also plugs into the cockpit receptacle using the "Australia" configuration. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I have an adapter made by APC. It is two pieces that can be configured to any plug you can imagine. Cost is about $18.00. Found it at CompUSA.
Check out this link http://www.apc.com/resource/include/...?base_sku=INPA
