Now playing....the Vice Chairmans Message

it did not cost us anything to get, and it addresses the needs of pilots who will be based in CDG and HKG.

Really now?

but also on providing strengthened contractual coverage for this international flying and a stronger foundation from which to negotiate future FDA benefits. The big picture here is literally the “scope” of FedEx’s global flying.

Really, really now?

And, when will these claims be substantiated?

BTW, when is EI's update going to come out. Seems like an unfair playing field.

The fundamental message I take from DM's message is to vote. Change your mind if you want to, but Vote. And, this is why I voted the way I did.

Try not to put any spin on it, just read it and take it for what it's worth.

In my opinion, he uses the "scope" phrase to try and indicate that this LOA doesn't provide any contractual scope protection, but, rather as a word that we all understand means FedEx pilots doing FedEx flying.

Whether that precedent is worth the STV precedent is.......debatable.

I don't think it is.

As to money, I don't think we got enough, but, I also don't see where this is costing the whole list of seniority folks any $$$$. If it passes, certainly could cost me some time if the STV process goes the way I think it will.
The main thing this LOA does is deprive me of the opportunity to bid for the FDAs-specifically CDG. Even upgrading to NB Capt will not put additional $$ in my pocket, additional $$ for me to save for retirement or college (other than the extra $$ into the B plan)

I don't see any condescending, I know better than you message from DM.

So, Vote

Kronan,

Not to nit pick but when he implies Fedex Pilot doing Fedex Flying he is putting spin out that voting no could mean chinese pilots doing fedex flying (wait we already have that). Spin is spin.

This LOA does nothing for scope and to imply it does is spinning.

But vote, especially if you have taken the time to read the LOA.

Who's left?

We still have yet to hear from the Sec/Treas, the front desk ladies and the night janitor. Once we get their ringing endorsements of this LOA, I think they'll be done with the email campaign.

Pretty sad when I have to start using my spam filter on message lines.

In case you forgot, you can change your vote....

Yep, as the end nears, the more "vote yes" messages....they really must be behind in the count!!

I say 76/24 against..anybody else?

BigWatchPilot 08-07-2007 01:23 PM

58/42 Going down...

Boom Boom 08-07-2007 01:30 PM

I think it is gonna be tight... Talk to a few that have changed... Close!

52/48 AGAINST

FDXLAG 08-07-2007 01:54 PM

Block 5 update on FDXMEC Page. If we ignore STV maybe they will forget about it.

I'll be 55-45 no. Considering the Yes votes start with a big advantage anything over 50 send a strong message.
