DC10 Excess Bid

Are all of the over 60 DC10 S/O's able to bid 727 S/O? If so, it seems like something will have to happen soon with a bid because there are only 155 lines and 400+ S/O's.

The rumor today at the school house was that the reason for the delay in the excess bid is because the company was going to not excess junior flex guys, but excess above them in seniority. The union pointed out that this is against the CBA. I do not know if this is correct, but maybe one of the union reps could clarify.

I don't see how being a flex gives you any seniority rights over other crewmembers. Sounds like the union has a legit beef here.

If FLEX/LCA's are the real issue, we sure do have a beef. They can't abrogate seniority just to keep their training guys. If there were going to be a lot of DC10 guys inversed on this deal it may put the brakes on it completely if the school house is going to be excessed ! MORE leverage...
