Default A simple definition of irony... (No LOA = No HKG)

From the Sig Notes for September:

Ground Transportation over two hours …The SIG approval for the company to schedule Ground transportation over two hours has been revoked. This is due to the excessive duty periods that have arisen involving the HKG to SZX GT. Not reflected in the September 2007 pairings, it will be seen in October.

I guess HKG crews don't count.... And they're going to be doing this crap every pairing.

NO LOA = NO HKG. We do have leverage... Remember that when you vote (or change your vote)

Just remember the company did not plan HKG. Looks like there is a good chance there will be quite a few FedEx pilots living on the Mainland.

If the company wants people to go they can't expect to use CAN.

The company wanted HKG over CAN for tax purposes. The HKG tax rate (of roughly 17%) that FedEX would have to "equalize" is far lower than the mainland China tax rate (30%+)

The union and the company would have you believe that "they really helped us out by getting us HKG over CAN", but the simple truth is FEDEX wants HKG to save them tax money. It was NOT a victory our union "won" for us. They just further helped the company.

I agree, START OVER.
