New Hire Dummy Question??

What is SIG/PSIT? I might not know what they stand for, but I do know I haven't flown any DP's

SIG - Scheduling improvement group
PSIT - Pilot portion of scheduling improvement

Basically the 2 sides tat determine the schedule based on historical data.

CBA Section 25.BB is the best source for the SIG/PSIT info.

Thanks for the clarification, fellas.

No such thing as a stupid question...only stupid motherf(#&#$s that fly disputed pairings. Let you other buds in your new hire class know the deal. Every newhire gets flooded with a ton of new info...the only way to get smart on it is ask....Thanks for taking the time to ask.

Butthead captain check

Fr8 Pup - When you ask that "stupid" question and the Capt smiles...... (and answers politely) He/she is most likely thinking of the time about 20 years earlier they asked a similar question a LOT dumber! :) On the other hand, if the Capt (or F/O if a 3 holer) jumps in your case and ridicules your question you might consider removing them from your preferred airmen's list.
