Hey stratocoaster,
Part time at MAC is at least 2 weeks per month. (Depending on the trip, usually Monday - Friday). You are able to work more if you're interested, but are only required the two full weeks.

Is it possible for a part-timer to be based or do they only float for their two weeks a month? Looking at BWI/SBY

I believe you usually have to float to cover a route as a part timer but don’t quote me on that. It’s a good deal to be part timer at MAC and still on salary, can’t beat that.

Just to be clear, you aren't on a salary part time. You will be paid for the weeks you work.

My apologies, I knew it was too good to be true. MAC still seems to have great QOL. I never hear any complaints from their pilots. I decided to go to the dark side as they gave me an offer first. Empire/MAC can’t go wrong.

That is correct. MAC is now seeking pilots in select bases. A few part time slots may still be available. Jeff

Default Gateway City/Part Time questions

Hi MAC Pilots,

Soon to be retired military pilot and curious about MAC. How do gateway cities work? How do part-time schedules work? (when available)

Thanks!
G
