Everyone relax. I did call contract enforement and he said that the company CAN assign me a DP trip while I am on Hotel Standby. It was kind of shocking to me, since I am not on Reserve in MEM. He said that since I am on Standby they can assign any trip to me. I told him OK, and when or if I get assigned one of these trips I will fill out an OPS report.

There is one diputed pairing on 3 Sep - already assigned to RSV Capt and RSV FO. There is also one disputed pairing on 4 Sep. This trip has already been assigned to a RSV captain and the FO volunteered :( to fly the disputed pairing.

Another question is WTF are we doing with MEM guys pulling hotel standby in ANC?

Don't they have reserve guys there or are they all fishing?

They are using all the ANC reserves to fly disputes ! The way it should be, if the MEM guys would catch on they would use reserves for disputes and need guys to fly other trips at MU and Draft...

Way too many guys in MEM trying to fly under the radar in taking the DP's. I've heard all the excuses.....none of them valid. EVERY person who takes a DP (not on reserve) is an independant contractor who is effectively saying:
"Screw all of you, I could not care less about your welfare, I'm taking my short term gain and laying the long term consequeces on all of you."

The ONLY way to curb this is to drag them into the sunshine of publicized exposure, followed up by 1000 WTF questions by a group in the hub.

Just got to ANC and start Hotel standby today. Don't see much in open time. Not sure why they had a double deadhead to ANC for hotel standby. I did talk to contract enforement last Friday and they said that they could use you for a DP if they need to. So far nothing.
