Air Cargo Carriers

Anyone know anything about Air Cargo Carriers?

Upgrade times, QOL, how they are to work for?

I tried a search and those words are very common.

I think the Shorts would be a cool plane.

Thanks

I'm interested in the info myself. I can't find much information from their website and haven't seen much information around here about them either.

You will upgrade as soon as you hit 1200, QOL depends what run you get, or if you are on charter. The shorts is a great plane to fly, pay is somewhere around 23k first year, captain first year pay is 42k.

How much flying per month do you think a guy could get there? I am at 1400 right now - but only 100 ME. Have a good lead for a jet job but they want about 1000 to 1500 turbine and some turbine PIC.

thanks

Do you begin flying twin turbine at 1200 hours? Are they based mainly in the
Eastern U.S. as opposed to Ameriflight in the Western U.S.?

Does ACC still fly out of AVP?

Jetspeed 09-12-2007 12:12 PM

If you get a high time run you could log around 80 hours a month. Yes we only operate the Shorts so you would be operating a twin turbine aircraft at 1200 hours. The majority of our runs are on the Eastern/Midwest areas of the country and go into Louisville. The only west coast routes we have are PDX, FAT, and SBA (DHL runs). No we do not fly out of AVP anymore.

Where are their bases around Midwest?

Marion, IL Warsaw, IN Danville, IL Columbus, OH and Indianapolis, IN are the Midwest bases

I am currently an F/O for ACC. To the day I have 450TT and 50MEturbine. Upgrade time is only restricted by the total time you have. If you come to the company with 1200TT you will be typed in the Shorts and fly the line for a month as an F/O before flying as captain. Some people in my class went into training with the flight time and got to the sim and turned down the type rating and went for F/O. The company is very short on Captains. If you have the time and you stick with it, you will most likely be a captain. The company has on-demand cargo charter and scheduled runs for DHL and UPS. I can only speak for the scheduled runs, you will log block time of around 60-90 hours per month. There are some bases in Oregon and California that will log less than 50 per month. Send me a message with any other questions.
