FedEx 2006 hiring?
I pose the same question for FedEx. The numbers are definitely encouraging. What about aircraft assignments? What % of new hires start out in the 727 F.E. seat versus a co-pilot chair?
Appreciate any replies.

As long as congress does not put the age 65 thing into action hiring should continue at 30 per month, so we are told. Expect to start as an FE on the 727 but transition to the right seat of any aircraft within a year. This includes the MD11 and A300. The first Captain seat will be the 727, so having served on the panel was helpful, and its a great place to get most of probation over with!!

Plan on going to the S/O seat. There have been some very recent new hires go to the right seat of the boeing, but it's only a small number per class. It could happen, but if you just plan on sitting sideways for up to a year then you won't be disappointed. As if you COULD be disappointed working for Fedex!
