International Jumpseating Offline

Anyone know if we have the ability to jumpseat offline on delta, northwest, etc? I'm trying to get to England next month...

How about procedures? Do I have to list ahead of time or what? Any help would be great...

Thanks

I recently emailed Northwest's Jumpseat Committee chairman on this exact subject. He says we can jumpseat on ANY NWA flight but that for international flights there must be an empty seat in the back for you to sit in ... hope this helps.

Rode on DAL to EDI in May/June. Just had to pay the taxes on the way out of the UK. Pretty good deal for Buisness class both ways!!

Don't forget the cookies!! :D

I always get uncomfortable discussing Jumpseat procedures on an open forum, for obvious reasons.

I assume you are an FDX ALPA member.

Call or email the FDX Jumpseat Committee Chairman and he will give you all the information you want to know.

I won't post his email on a public forum. If you need it, it is in Your FDX MEC calendar/Log Book.

Go to the FDX MEC ALPA website and log in. After you log in look at the links at the to[ of the FDX MEC main page. You will see a link for Committees.

Clik on that and Find jumpseat Committe.
Click on that and and the Jumpseat Committe page will come up.

You will see a Picture of "RO" your JS chair.

Click on his email or call his ASPEN #. You can find out everything you need or want to know. Good luck and have fun in England.

I've J/S'd NRT-ATL on DL. No problemo. Went to the ticket counter 2:00 prior to departure and they took great care of me. A ticket agent helped with the departure tax thingy and then walked me to the gate and onto the airplane and introduced me to the crew. Very smooth operation. They assigned me a seat in coach but just before push back moved me up front to an available seat in business class. Good luck.

Perfect timing for this thread, I was just about to ask the same question to get back from a fishing trip down in Mexico.

Is somebody on this forum overly paranoid?

The last time I JS'ed on DAL int'l, you had to be "passport listed" at least 75 mins prior to go time. If not, there is no way they will let you ride. I did it at the int'l service counter in ATL both times I JS'ed.

Don't know if it has changed.
