Air Cargo Growth Forecast

From today's IPA newscast:

{AIR CARGO GROWTH}

Air cargo growth is expected to outpace passenger traffic over
the next 12 years. FAA forecasts that mainline cargo traffic
will increase 5.1% a year and passenger traffic will grow at
an average rate of 4.1%. Most of the domestic cargo growth will
reportedly be in the all-cargo carrier segment, which will see
an average 3.7% annual RTM (revenue ton miles) growth. The new
China routes will drive international RTMs up 6.7% this year
and 6.5% in 2006 and to average 6.3% a year after that. All cargo
carriers will likely see average annual growth of 6.9% The number
of large cargo jets operated by U.S. carriers is forecast to
increase from 974 to 1,032 in the next three years.

Huh???????

If you are asking what I think you are asking, the answer is........seniority works just like at any other airline. On your pilot (for UPS Airlines) date of hire you are put on the seniority list and bid according to that.
