I guess the "O" walked into a recurrent training class and had a few bits of information.

1. Bid out this Friday. Will open Paris (yes going to happen) and HKG and will close SFS or atleast 39 crews (I'm not sure how many are there)
2. 2 or 3 757s in Memphis. I guess for STDs.
3. Said that FedEx didn't expect anything to happen on the age 60 rule (that would effect us) until atleast Jan 09. No matter what George is going to be pouring coffee... lets see he has 7 days left and it ain't going to happen that fast. I guess he will have to pay me the buck he will owe me on the 13th.
4. This one I don't get but I guess Jack set a president by allowing everyone to bid back to the DC10 no matter weather they need them or not. I think he was making room for himself, but that will remain. I guess we'll have 5 DC10s and 300 SOs. But that will continue.

There was more but I wasn't there so it's all second hand from the "O"s mouth. So, we'll see if he knows anything or if the puppet masters change his mind. :rolleyes:

I'd wager that CDG goes a lot more senior than you would think.....

I'll beleive CDG when we are painted purple and are on the ramp or something like that.

Up to Mid level Airbus/MD11 FO's only if they have no children and the wife is excited about Paris. Which probably means a few will go. Perhaps most of the slots will go to these folks (my prediction). The remaining will go to 727 FOs, a few current SIBA holders and maybe a couple wide SOs.

No senior wide FO will touch it unless the wife is persistent on wanting to go.


CDG FO---Perhaps a displacement bid on the 727?

Can't displace to a FDA per the CBA

but can be sent to the 75 in mem and then stv'd

The company would have to hire a bunch of Mem757FOs if they want to STV them. It would also be very expensive. It would be easier to fill positions with new hires....
