PVG-Crowne Plaza

Never been there, anything to do in the area, good hotel gym, ect? Also, deadheading in as scheduled, does the Crowne Plaza have a hotel desk like the Hilton for transportation??
Thanks

The crowne has a desk like the hilton. same side, but you'll probably have one of the bellhops meet you at the arrival area. They will give you a free drink if you are a priority club member, internet is free and the rooms we normally stay in have free minbar drinks (fridge only). normally short layovers so only a few ideas around the hotel. out the main door and left, follow street to a good, cheap pizza place. out the door and right, there is a bar down the way. good luck

The Crowne Plaza should have a guy holding a sign with your name on it as you leave baggage claim, if not the hotel desk is pretty close to the Hilton. Not much to do at Crowne Plaza, I will second AT on the good cheap pizza place. Yes they have a good gym and a descent hotel lounge/bar. I think the Phillippene band plays almost every night, hit or miss on any talent being there. I usually take a cab to Malones or over to the Hilton area.

One good thing about the Crowne Plaza is the free beverages, beer included (even says complimentary on the price list just in case you don't believe me ;)). Have fun!

No more free drinks!
It is now 20% discount on the mini bar.

I caught a fungus in my ear there once... grounded me for two weeks. Don't immerse your head in the bathtub.

Good call, DON'T drink the water and double check the tamper ring on bottled water. We had a pilot that caught Guardia from a bottle water tap refill and was grounded/on Cipro for 6 months.

Actually it was a great captain, who happens to be a fox too. I was trying to get squeaky clean to impress her.....
