Default Anybody read the A300 cpt's guide to HKG email?

Very enlightening....sure sounds like a good deal!
My favorite parts were about how clean everything is and boy are these people friendly.
Everyone I passed asked me if i wanted a copy watch or a new shirt! And all the girls seemed to smile at me in the bars.
I just changed my standing bid.

Gee me too! Just wonder if the union would have forwarded an email that wasn't so pleasant!?(Rose colored glasses still on!) Remember this was not solicited! The 11 that voted for it are going to bid for it right?

I'm planning on an appendicectomy or get my wisdom teeth pulled out if an STV rolls around.

Hong Kong air is just like San Diego - well he didn't say that exactly but certainly used the comparison - not so sure about that.

What is sad is that is the most informative message we have received concerning HKG, and it does not come from the union or company. It comes from a crewmember who traveled on his own dime to do the research the union should have done months ago. Union has totally messed this FDA process up and we as crewmembers are going to pay for this in the upcoming years.

Only one thing. Do you trust the judgement of someone who chose to see the movie Hairspray?

Keep polishin' this turd boys....................what an embarrassment that both the company AND the union have a freelance crewmember provide more information, however skewed, than they have.

Agreed. Sick time is quite useful, especially when they expect you half a world away.

On the original subject, I didn't find his email to be convincing at all. Sounded to me like living in any other foreign country; foreign. I will never undertsand why people would do it for no extra pay. Hell the cities in this country are bad enough.

But at least the company will make even more money.

Is JS the guy that already lives in HKG? If he is, the union says they spoke with him about living there. JS says they didn't (I wonder why ALPA wouldn't talk to a member that ALREADY lives in HKG? Enquiring minds want to know) ... thanks for doing such a professional job on this ALPA (when they weren't on their Asian vacation!).

I don't think so, he is about 1/4 up the list in the MEM bus bidpack.

I thought it was a pretty good job on his part, dudes getting paid to go fact finding didn't show 10% of the effort he did. Not sure why he wants people to smile at him though, down here I get them to laugh at me when I go jogging.
