I'd recommend connecting thru Memphis, as there are many more flights, and once booked, the only people who could bump you are those on emergency travel and FAA inspectors. Plus it's always enjoyable to listen to them attempt to speak the English language down there.:D

Is a snowboard acceptable? Your list didn't have it, but it is roughly equivalent to poles and skis.
