DECEMBER Bid Beware!

Just a heads up about the DEC bid. I don't use Fastbid or BidX and the other day put in my bid for Nov. I bid 53 lines and then 9952 for any secondary line. I only submitted one bid, and there were no issues that I was aware of. I didn't copy down the reference number, but I probably should have.

Today I went in to double check my bid input, and lo and behold VIPS shows that I have put in two bid inputs for Nov. The first one had two default bids, 9980 (highest paying without c/o) and then 9952. I have no idea where this bid input came from, I did NOT input that bid.

So I looked at my second bid input, and although it has all the correct lines, they are in some kind of random order, not the order I had input them. When I go back in to input my bid again the screen shows them in the correct order as I had originally bid them.

I'm not sure what is going on with VIPS, but I am going to re-enter my bid input and make a copy of each screen and the reference number to make sure I don't get hosed. I have a feeling the bids will be pretty messed up this month if everybody is having similar issues.

Anyway, beware of your bid inputs this month!

Do you mean your DECEMBER bid?

Falconjet 11-13-2007 06:23 AM

Yes, you are right, I mean the Dec bid!

Thanks.

I just re-entered my bid and printed out the page with the reference number, and it shows them in the proper order this time.

I would recommend that everybody go back and review their Dec bid inputs if you have already put in a bid.

That first bid would be your VIPS Default Bid. It's your personal bid insurance policy, and should only come into play should you fail to enter a monthly bid.

That would be true, but its not what I have for my default bid. That was my first thought. Anyway, it shouldn't show your default bid as a bid input transaction.

By the way, I just checked again, and now it shows two bid inputs, the original, correct bid and the second, identical bid, that I put in this morning.

Something very strange is going on with VIPS.

I thought maybe you put it in at a company terminal. Lately, unless someone signs off of Grid altogether, although you sign in....you get someone else's schedule or inbox. I find that this happens at an outstation where they have a generic grid sign-on and everyone just uses IE.

THanks for the warning. I reviewed and printed my input.
