We all received some emails from DW and BC, doing a hard sell to us all, before the final vote was tallied, remember? Arrogance is an understatement! Guess I am just a "proponent of hysteria". Unfriggin believable!

I am not aware of any other issues or versions that you might suggest. Not to say there arent any. The only person that could give us the other side of the story is DW.

Why didn't you post this BEFORE the LOA closed? With all of the crap going on, it reminds me of what a wiseman told me, "The fish rots from the head down."

It certainly sounds like DW is arrogant and rotten.

The more I re-read his responses the more angry I get. Is this guy clueless or what. I wonder if he would have told me that someone as junior as I am shouldn't even bother with it when it turns out I could be a wide body Captain. What a moron. These guys were way off with this LOA.

"Since I currently hold, and am based in Subic right now, I respectfully disagree. In fact, with the current numbers that are floating around with respect to this LOA, I think you are going to have to find guys a lot junior to me willing to accept a right seat assignment in HKG.

Final Email: Dave Webb to Me:
TA,

I’ll accept your bet."

I'm so tired of our poor MEC/LEC/block leadership, so tired of paying for misrepresentation, so tired of being talked down to by MY union, so tired of the double-speak...I'm just "sofa king" mad at FDX ALPA!

Go Albie, go...SG

Nope, time to send out a message line that includes this: It is encouraging that management is recognizing the overwhelming support that our pilots are demonstrating as we open these two challenging FDAs. (2 Nov Message Line)

They aren't out of touch.

For the guy who wrote these letters, and A LOT of US, hindsight is 20/20. We all should stick with our gut feelings on many things, instead of being apathetic or having a "it doesnt affect me" attitude. I look to our leadership for guidance, and leadership. But when I feel that I am being sold a POS, or having a POS deal shoved down my throat, I start to question things. Worse than getting bad answers, is getting no answers. We got a lot of the getting no answers treatment. Collectively, we all need to wake up.

Not sure why anyone would be surprised at the current state of indifference observed in our leaderships perceived condecending treatment of the crewforce. This hand writing has been on the wall from the beginning as to reaching for national promience and position. 8 years ago while serving as a block Rep I attended a welcome aboard dinner for a newly elected domocile Rep. In the course of conversation I asked the newbie how he would handle an issue where his constituancy was firmly in favor of one course of action and he felt strongly for another opposing course of action. He replied "well I would vote my concience and for my course of action, because I would be better informed on the issue and know whats better for my domocile." I informed the newbie that if I saw any such desicion making I would personally lead the recall effort. This is similar to what is going on now (IMHO). Unfortunately since the rule changes on how and when MEC officers can be censured or recalled the task is now exponentially more difficult.

Great point. Speaking of recalls....exactly how much longer are we stuck with DW/Mr. Arrogant anyway? Does his term have an end date, or do we have to wait it out for him to transfer/resign/expire??

I think we have to wait until he moves up to national.
