Reserve Leveling

Anybody have any idea why a few of the names on reserve leveling are blocked and the trip they are on is xxxxx out?

MaydayMark 11-29-2007 01:27 PM

I suspect the XXXXX out trips are guys with "blocked" calendars?

Boom Boom 11-29-2007 01:35 PM

Yep.. Calendar Blockers...

I'll never understand the point... Even if you are whoring yourself; just don't do DP except on reserve!

It isn't hard to get all the info you want, even from a calendar blocker. You can see anyone's schedule from the green screen. You can look at bid awards. I think it odd that some guys say they are hiding from a crazy ex... I flew with a guy who hid so his ex would not know he upgraded. Um, can you say... bid pack? Training letter? Vacation awards? Seniority list? Etc??

While the XXXX is used for blockers and there names are blank, the XXXX also gets used on others. I just looked at my leveling, and even though my name, Sen no, Emp no, and inbound flt are listed, the trip assignment is all XXXXed out. My calender is, and always has been open, crazy exes or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong (highly possible), but I believe the XXXX signifies that person is actually in the middle of a trip--or was when the update was made.

even if the nonblocker's trip is xx'd out it still shows the inbound flight number of the xx'd out trip under inbound date/time where you can figure out the rest.

It's a leftover from WB FO days. It means CRAF qualified. Basically means we volunteered and did the paperwork for CRAF documents.

Dang, I need a touch typing refresher course. I keep posting a minute or two late.
