Default FDX - The Newest Sound Bite

From the NC - "We are ONE or we are NONE"

Makes me want to puke. How about some real information put out on all the issues at hand instead of coming up with new pithy sound bites.

Can't blame them for trying but not sure they want to hear the answer.

Did you miss the previous paragraph that Fred wrote or is it just that sentence that you concentrated on. It seems to me that we should be more concerned about the 'real issues' rather than taking pot shots at the folks trying to improve our Contract.

Yeah I read it.

I am concerned about the 'real issues' that is why I can do without the 'pretty little slogans'.

Or at least be more concerned with doing something if they're this ****ed vs. flailing around. Less than a year ago, the majority of this board didn't even know that the membership cannot recall a MC, or even what the challenges involved in successfully accomplishing a recall are. I still think our general knowledge of the latter is weak, and as such we will continue to read pointless, angry fist at the sky comments demanding that people simply resign because 'everyone knows they should' or lamenting procedures that went out with the FPA.

In many respects, it doesn't bother me though because the vast majority of the people who want to change the principals, seem to have little clue on who the real 'bad guys' are, who they would replace them with, and how to accomplish it in a manner where we still have a working MEC not divided by factions and alliances that would go largely unseen with our pilot group due to our base structure. Replacing people just to replace them is just as inane in union business as it is in politics. Albie's recent post about DW the other day was one of the more interesting ones to me, because it gave an actual glimpse into things from a MEC perspective and quite frankly glimpses from MEC and committee chairmen and members probably provide the best insight into what is or isn't going on and what should be done. Personally without any additional info, I'm just as neutral on what should be done as I was a year. Perhaps the people who are squawking the loudest about change/resignations/ignoring ALPA/etc could actually do some of the leg work to achieve what they want instead of b!tching here

(P.S.I know that there are few here who have tried.)

Would it make you feel better if Fred used this one:

"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately"

And, I don't want my NC showing our cards to mgt any earlier than they have to.
Can't speak for anyone else, but I sure seem to do better at Holdem on ESPN when I can see the cards versus the real world. I kept looking for those odds of winning to figure out whether I should go all in.
