FDX Life Insurance

I have a question about the Basic Life insurance provided us by the company ($800,000). How long do you have this? Do you lose it upon retirement? I've looked at the Health and Welfare Benefits website and cannot figure it out. If I retire at age 58, 60, 65, do I still get the Basic Life? I noticed a retiree life insurance option if you were enrolled in the optional life insurance option. Do I have to have the optional to get some company life after retirement?

Call the FDX ALPA office. We pay for several benefits specialists (they're very nice ladies and have been very helpful when I have called them) ... if they can't answer your questions, something is wrong.
