You have to actually take the vacation, then they level.

Not anymore. Leveling occurs the whole month now for VAC no matter when the VAC is on your calendar. At least it had for me in Sept and Oct when I had end of the month VACs. Seems to me that since MAR when the new rules changed, this changed as well - treated just like leveling for a trip that is assigned in advance, ie. line check early assigned.

My last 2 vacations DID NOT get leveled until AFTER my vacation! Me thinks maybe Md11fr8daog has some good dirt on the schedulers?

I just rechecked to be sure and yes, I was not leveled for my Sept VAC days on my first day of reserve earlier in the month. The next month, however, I was leveled for 26+37 on my first Rday of the month - 18+20 for the 4 Rdays on the last 4 days of the bid month plus 8+17 for the trip I was assigned the first R day of the month. Maybe they made a mistake on my Oct leveling. I just assumed it was a change to match the early assignment of a trip!

Must have been a confused Over 60 scheduler......."oh darn.....where did I put my Metamucil and my pen"....mutter....mutter.....fart....mutter

Same here. I was waiting for the next one just to be sure. Thanks MM. Although, if you read the CBA for leveling and VAC it kind of leads you to believe leveling occurs when the bank is tapped. I guess not. Same as it ever was.
