Why only 12 credits for 45 TAFB

Anyone explain why this doesn't pay more than 6 hours per day? I thought any trip longer than 24 hours paid 6.4 per day.

Trip 287/31 jan.

The rig is 1 hr of pay per 3.75 hours away. Commonly referred to as 3.75/1.

45.5 divided by 3.75 = 12.13

Yep I just did the math. I thought anything more than 21 hours would pay more, guess I was mistaken. (well more than a few minutes more)

45 hour TAFB= 12+09

That doesn't pay out near as much as expected.

And we thought we got an industry leading contract.......give me what united had prior to 9/11 and I'd be happy.

Old trip rig would have paid 11+23

46 minutes over 2 days

It is what it is.

Maybe we should have pushed for a min 7hr day or a system that wouldn't have made us lose sick and vacation time.

i.e. this trip now reduces our sick/vacation time days because of the hour increase (even if it is so minor). .....god forbid anyone touch our sick and vacation because we "think" its so good....but then again our company is barely squeaking out a profit....(arlieas, you might need to fix a few in this one)

So if I had a long trip that started around Christmas that carried over through to Jan first, would the new trip rig be effective for my whole trip or just for those 2 days that carried over? Looks like they paid the old trip rig for the whole trip. :(

You should get an adjustment soon for the 3.75 after 01Jan and possibly any block override (8-10 hours) after the trip is over. Track it and if you do not get the adjustment, call Contract Enforcement.

I would call enforcement first, to see how the rig change as applies to carryover is being implented.

Also, you should manually split the trip (like we used to do with the old paylogs) and calculate what you think the total value SHOULD have been. If you didn't get paid correctly, put in a paylog right away, before you forget. Then it's on file, and can be haggled over LONGER than if you miss the window of opportunity to squak it. An admin grievance has a 60 day window from when you know (or should have known) of a discrepancy. A paylog should extend that window to 90 days.

After viewing this thread, I checked my Jan pay summary, as I just finished a carryover trip last night.

For 22:11 time away (in January,) I got paid 5:54. After playing with a calculator for a few minutes, that equates to 1 to 3.75.

The portion in Dec pays 2:35 for 10:20 TAFB which is 1 to 4.
