Default FDX: Alternatives to BLG reduction...

There was some talk in one of those BLG reduction threads about alternatives to reducing BLG. Ideas like no carry over, open time, etc.

Any other thoughts/ideas?

Reducing Carryover is where we will get a lot of "bang" for the "buck" so to speak.. IMHO

If they lower the BLG anyone bidding carryover or picking up a second of extra anything will have to horse whipped. It is not going to happen folks.

It's all GC fault!

Hub meeting last night, DW said the company can offer early retirements to prevent a furlough/reduce BLG lines(CBA).

How about not volunteering to fly DP's............Sorry, what was I thinking, that's just too big a sacrifice for some.

That's the problem. BLG will be lowered, and those DP's are REALLY going to disappear. Guys will justify it, "got to make up what I lost" and "why should I support the union when the union did this to me?" (Not flame bait, just what I think guys will say to defend themselves.....)

It can really suck working at a place where you can't be sure the guy flying next to you has your back.....

How about we do NOTHING. The company made $2 billion (BILLION) dollars last year on $22 billion revenues. When Paul, "O" and every other important person in Hacks Cross /AOC reduce their pay, then we'll talk. Don't give up carryover, etc. If they want to offer early outs, that's fine with me.

It is a show stopper. If carryover is allowed to continue with ALPA's blessing and a BLG reduction happens, it is time to clean house and either vote in all new leadership or find a new union...

Clearly this HazCan guy has the big picture. Write in votes for Haz start right here.

Oh yeah!

I'd say it's time for that to happen already! But, I'm in agreement. That would be the final, final, final straw.
