FDX: Latest FCIFs regarding retirement plans?
I'm guessing that FedEx is petitioning the IRS as to the tax implications to these three plans as they relate to the new age 65 rule.
Didn't take them long to start judging that did it.

It's my understanding the company gets tax breaks with the B-Plan. The question is, will the IRS honor those tax breaks with the new age 60 rule.
At Union meetings last spring/summer, DW said the B-Plan is part of our CBA and cannot be terminated without negotiating with the membership. We should be able to drag this out for awhile!!!!

That B-plan should never be given up, the way I see it is we have essentially no match to our 401K ($500/yr.) is basically nothing. The B-plan is essentially a normal match like most companies give, many of which still have a pension too like my wife's employer. They can give you an automatic 7% + $500 into your 401K instead of the B-plan, that I'd accept.

Hey lurking union bubbas (Sleepy, TonyC, Albie and others!), COULD WE PLEASE GET A PLAIN ENGLISH INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THIS IRS DETREMINATION STUFF IS ALL ABOUT!*? I know it's Friday night (and we all know the company frequently drops F-bombs on Fridays), but this is really important.
Thanks,
And PS ... thanks again for supporting the age 65 position. I hope it doesn't have major implications to our retirement? Didn't ALPA promise us it wouldn't change any of our present contract?

Glad dw is looking out for me... (sarcasm)
Two engine taxi, On time departures and arrivals. Like our QOL, city purity, SIBA, should be a thing of the past. I think the world on time just slowed down!!!
Fuel sensitives, I just became retirement sensitive!
I suppose they want the 500 bucks too...
Not good.
