Hey, maybe we could draft Boobie Lightpurple to lead us through the next contract. He's a self admitted expert on all things union and he's not mired down by trivial things like membership. I wonder how much it would cost to get him well with his dues, $15K, $20K, $25K? Since he is unable or unwilling to part with any of his stash, we could have a fund raiser to cover for him. Anybody know how to bake cookies? I for one say DRAFT BOOBIE NOW!!! (BTW, does he wear a mustache? No worries, he can grow one later)

No more suggestions Ladies and Gentlemen??? I'm compiling the list, noting repeat "gripes" and will sent it on to the MEC and NC. So dig deep and let them know what needs to be changed. I hope all that post are also passing these required fixes to the contract on to their reps!!!

First fill in the holes in our scheduling swiss cheese!!!!! I mean it this time(of course, that was #1 on my list last time). Then a pay raise that is more than inflation. We also need to start investigating how we can benefit from doing away with the A plan and getting a nicely funded B plan in it's place. I know a lot of people are resistant to this, but if you have more than 10 years left it will change wether we want it to or not. Might as well do it while we have some control. I know, how much control do we really have?

Get rid of "Pay for Training." No more training on days off or losing BLG when they drop a trip worth x (in ANC this is usually a 20-25 hr. trip), and pay you a mere 9 hrs of pay. How this slipped by the membership is beyond me! Talk about a serious pay cut!

Let me ask you a question.
How did you vote on the contract?
If we want better scheduling rules we have to have it at the top, communicate it is far and away our highest priority then stick by our guns and use our votes to effect.
97% of us voted for the contract and basically said "I dare the company to turn up the optimizer".
