Default B-747-400 conversions for UPS

I've been hearing from multiple sources that we're supposedly receiving converted B-747-400 freighters next year. Mechanics, admin I've talked to and this thread, http://www.airliners.net/discussions....main/2552361/, have gotten me to believe the rumors might be true.

Who here is in the know?

Do you honestly believe anyone here who is legitimately in the know would post inside information before it's formerly made public?

Can you go back through the archives and find any information that was posted with a dated reference prior to said information being publicly announced by the company?

You might as well ask if anyone here knows what company UPS will next acquire.

Of course I'm not expecting inside company info. Before the official -400 announcement a few months back it was fairly well known amongst the crews and mechanics that this aircraft was the selection.

Ease off, buddy! Take a chill pill

It IS true. UPS is getting at least two ex-EVA 747-400 combis that will be converted to full freighter configuration for entry into UPS service probably in 2007, slightly before the first factory -400 freighters arrive.

Default Stuff

The super senior bubbas at Big Brown are chaffing at the bit to bid the 747-400 so the only flying they have to do is in the stimulator once every 3 months.

I prefer not to reveal my sources but remember you heard it here first. This is no BS, the ex-EVA combis are coming.
