UPS System Bid 08-101

I agree
Charlie,
The thing to remember is that it is a personal choice that only you can make. You have the right attitude.
This is my 4th airline in 17 years, and I can count on one hand the amount of times that I have picked up OT. But I was never making over $90 an hour at flat rate. So will I pick up OT at UPS, I just don't know ...
I do know that under MOST circumstances, I am simply unavailable. I value my time away from work that highly.
Others don't ... nothing wrong with that either.
As long as we ALL understand the consequences of our decisions like you do, it should be a personal decision.
Doesn't mean we have to like it either ...

This may be true for some fleets but on the 727 we NEVER flew more than 40 hard hours per month.
DFWAvi8r..
Another point concerning guys who left..I live in the New York City area, and alot of my friends who were looking for airline jobs weren't interested in UPS because of "the night flying" When I asked them what they wanted they would say "American or Delta out of JFK Wide-Body International" I'd ask them " When do you think your flying those international legs?" AT NIGHT! a few realized this point and 2 I know of applied and got jobs at UPS and both are Capts today...one always thanks me for having this conversation out in the squadron parking lot which caused him to apply to UPS..

At UPS, you work ALL night and get to the Hotel at 5 to 7 am. Big Difference.
