FDX - The freight we haul
 

Visiting with a friend of mine the other night and he was asking me what we hauled out of different cities and who our big contracts where. I had to honest and say "I have no idea half the time what we're carrying (other than hazmat)". I knew of the diamond guy in LFT that we keep a spare airplane down there for, LL Bean in PVD? and DigiKey in GFK but that's about it. Anyone know of what we haul out of any other cities? (Other than the Post Office)

The freight we haul pays the bills.

Better than the type that does not pay the bills.....

Flew on another deadhead and now I know remember why the airlines cannot make money. If FDX operated that horribly we would not be paying the bills.

I know Medtronic in Mempho has a special sort to get their stuff to patients the next day with has little notice as possible. Supposedly that why a number of medical device companies have located offices in memphis. Medtronic, Smith and nephew, wright medical.

Victoria Secret out of Columbus, Oh. Omaha steaks out of ________? Flowers out of Laredo, Tx. Other than that......no idea.

Agreed. The pax carriers should start putting people in containers, then charge by the pound. Minus the tare weight, of course.

Let UPS/DHL do their own work and figure out who the big contracts are, we don't have to give it to them on the internet.
