Default Enough FDX - time for another Brown thread!

I wanted to try to break the chain of FDX threads (no offense, Purple), so I figured I would start a Brown thread to mix it up.

Here it goes:

Will the displacement bid be canceled?????

Will the -400 be moved to SDF???

What are the odds of a furlough?

Discuss.....

No furloughs at FDX. Brown? Try Purple and white.

Wait a minute....You mean this is a UPS thread. You fooled me with FDX in the Title.

O.K.

- Don't think the bid will be canx'd
- Yes it will be in SDF by 2010
- odds of furlough? 20%

I'll add one..will we buy 777s?

Bid Cxld ... No

747Y in SDF ... Everyday

Furlough ... Eventually, when brown loses money

and the bonus question about the 777 ? If Fred got some, we need some too !

No
Eventually. Not a move, but an addition
zero
777's, maybe, once the passenger airlines wear theirs out and Boeing comes out with a way to cut a door in one.

Check out the picture of Rick Barr in the Pravda magazine "leading edge",
on the desk behind him is a model of a UPS 777, not a 744F, not an MD-11, or any other fleet type we have, makes ya wanna go hmmm.
If Oil stays at $115 and above we might see them sooner than you think. (vs more 744's)
No furlough unless they want us to shut this place down with a legal ban on open time and JA.

The sky is not falling here, its just a little cloudy at the moment.

I've got a few more wrenches for you. Do you think that UPS will see any retirements in the next few years? If so how many, perhaps 50/yr for the next 3-4 years? I know that UPS pilots are less than enthusiastic about the 300, but if the KC-45 goes ahead and the price is right, I wouldn't count out a 330F. If anything, UPS is thrifty. And finally, when will UPS hire?

No, it allows UPS an opportunity to show us who's in charge

Yes, but not completely

0%, Fed Ex will before UPS, then UPS would copy them like everything else

And then the IPA negotiators can blame them like they did with our pay rates

Why don't you guys get your own forum - it really annoys me when I waste time reading about other places when we all know FedEx is all that matters!
