Beware Of UPS Brownies
Brownies, get it?
From KOMOTV:
SPOKANE, Wash. -- A UPS worker has been jailed, accused of sickening one of his co-workers with marijuana-laced brownies.
Spokane County detectives said Virgil Feezell took the brownies to the UPS distribution center in Spokane Valley where he works on Thursday as a prank. One of Feezell's co-workers ate one of the brownies and became so ill that he had to go to the hospital.
A lab test found marijuana in the system of the sickened man who had no idea that the brownies contained drugs. Feezell was arrested and charged with assault.
When Feezell appeared in court on Friday, he denied having tampered with the brownies. However, while speaking from jail, he said, "I definitely was not trying to hurt anybody, not my intention."
"This is just the most serious trouble I've ever been into. It's scary," Feezell also said.
Court documents state Feezell confessed to having put marijuana into the brownies to another UPS employee.
Detectives said Feezell's prank could have landed several UPS drivers in serious trouble.
"This was just a crazy idea," said Sgt. Dave Reagan, "potentially putting people out on the road in an impaired state and them maybe not even recognizing that they're impaired. Could've had horrible consequences."
Prosecutors are debating whether to charge Feezell with drug dealing.
