We use "adjusting gross weight"
I would think that this would be a safety concern.

Fel i stabilisatorn låg bakom problemen, enligt flygräddningsledare Bengt-Olof Hammarlöf.

Emergency landing on Arlanda

A transporting aeroplane off the mock-up Airbus 300 need landed a short while after the start from Arlanda airport on the Saturday afternoon.

Wrong in the balancer lay behind the problems, according to air transport rescue worse Bengta Olof Hammarlöf.

Three persons were with in the crew, but there were the minutes after the landing no information about person damages.

Just over 20 minutes before it so called the mound rate landing, as may rooms o'clock 17.29, was dumped a big part of the aeroplane's fuel.

- it is outermost seldom occurring. It is in principle only the correct big machines that can dump fuel, says Hammarlöf.

Despite it the exceptional high rate the wide landing could planet be stayed up within obvious boundaries on landing banana, according to Hammarlöf.

I believe you are correct. That's exactly what I was thinking happened.

If they could have "stayed up within obvious boundaries on landing banana" everything would have been fine.

Yes, and fortunately, no person damages!

You've got to wonder if the balancer was intoxicated. I don't think they do drug testing or breathalyzers over there.

The real question is though...

Did the crew call for the mound rate landing, or the tower?

Son, you're going to need extra training. I can't, with a clear concience, let you go with that landing banana.

Are you happy to be in Sweden or is that a landing banana in your pocket?

I tried once, a mound landing with a bad balancer on the landing banana. I'll never try it again though. As long as the balancer is ok, there's nothing to it, you just aerodize your mound prior to shuffling your third wing nut left by two diameters.
