FedEx Q
Does FDX hire into one particular A/C, or do they put you in whatever is avail? I know this is a wierd question...but I am just curious as how they go about doing it. Applying there is way off on the horizon for me, but I was just wondering. Thanks folks.

The details of the process: On Day 3 of Basic Indoc for each new hire class, the company comes in with the list of seats and planes available. For example in my class (5 years ago) we had 25 new hires and the company offerred 8 DC-10 SO positions and all the rest were 727 SO positions. They rank ordered us in reverse sequence of the last four digits of our social security number, ie 9999 was 1 down to 0001 was number 25. And then number 1 picked his seat, then number 2, etc.

In terms of NH's, is the senority list always determined by reversing SSN's or does it vary from class to class?
