FedEx Pilot Unity Rally
This is a call for all FedEx pilots to sacrifice 1 day of your precious personal time.
Make plans to attend the FedEx Pilot "UNITY" Rally this Sunday in MEM, 5 March, 2-5 PM.
70% of us are commuters. Yes this is an inconvience. Your Union, however, is Spelled with a "U" and has asked you for support.
This is a non-job threatening, non-job action way to support all legal efforts to obtain a fair contract from "your" Corporation that posted over 1 Billion in Profits last year! Folks this is a very small personal sacrifice for your careers.
ASK yourself why MGT has not TA'd a section of the new contract for the last 10 months? Ask yourself why MGT is asking for concessions following RECORD profits?.........
Ask yourself if I am not even willing enough to show up to a meeting on one of my days off........what will I be willing to do when the stakes get a little Higher? (and they will beleive me). If they see 2000+ Pilot's there on Sunday (roughly all of the non working pilots) it will indeed send MGT a message that we are very unhappy with the pace of negotiations. They will take notice. However, if only 200-300 show up.(Non Working Pilots who Live in MEM and a few Lauching out on Sun) it will indeed send yet another Message to MG. That message being; the majority of us think things are just fine.........................If that is the case, then don't complain "next year" about the concessionary contract that you will be working under!! or the great potential of lost jobs due to "Outsourcing"! Pay Attention NEW Hires!!
There should not be an open Jumpseat into MEM this SAT evening or SUN Morning! (There is at least one open seat as I am buying a commercial ticket in.) I wanted to make room for 1 more Pilot. I hope to See you all there!
