Unhappy FDX-Firefox 3.0 at AOC?

Anyone been having problems getting on sites other than pilot.fedex.com at the AOC w/ Firefox 3.0? Safari works fine, and so does Camino. Firefox 3.0 works great at home...but at the AOC I can only get on the fedex pilot web page.
Thanks
Z

isn't there some sort of proxy and port settings that you must enter to go outside the firewall?

From TonyC's post long ago - yes I know it's for IE but it may work. --

In order to connect to the internet, you just need to change the Proxy settings.

To get to your proxy settings in IE, do the following:

Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Proxy Server

Proxy: west.proxy.fedex.com

Port: 3128

Use the same proxy for http, https, and web.

Firefox for MAC will NOT use your computer's network settings as Safari, Camino and Opera do. Therefore, you have to manually set the proxy in the Preferences > advanced > network settings

The proxy setting are now configured by a PAC file, so I do not think port 3128 will work.

I've used the prox settings and port 3128 for firefox, but can't get it to work with Safari. I have seen other macs using a PAC file, though. How do I get that?

Make sure that your proxy is in the Web proxy and not the FTP (the fist option)
But apply to Web Proxy (HTTP) and Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS).
Then apply settings. I'm using Safari now at the AOC, so it should work.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Koz. I thought this mac stuff was supposed to be easier! Not so...

It is easier if you use the Apple provided software. Apple is just beginning to embrace the concept of third party support.
