Hope they are looking at this hard. I hope we are pushing hard for this too.

The company sure didn't hesitate to buy out managers a few years ago.

I heard that the company was NOT opposed to this, but DW was. Why I don't know.

I find it hard to believe that the company just changed the name of FedEx Kinko's to FedEx Office for 890+ million dollars and now we're talking about reductions in force?

$891,000,000 is equivalent to 137 pilots earning 6.5 million in a 25 year career.

That is a lot of bank to be shelling out to change a name.

If this is true, I would suspect he is still concerned about his 200 or so buddies working for their high fives.

I am hearing a lot of false rumors on these boards--par for the course I guess.

Truth: We've been floating ealry retirements into conversations whenever we can. It takes two parties to make a deal. One of the parties has not wanted to dance. So far...

Please call us and ask for us by name--or me if you can't get your rep. I don't have all the answers but I'll tell you the truth about what I do know...

Comm is a bit backed up now due to some internal issues--more admin issues than anything else--expect more official comm on some issues next week.

Again--the union is in a reactionary mode right now. We are enforcing the contract. Anything outside that document needs to be negotiated, and at least as far as this block rep knows there aren't any backdoor deals or trades being made.

Thanks Albie - That's all I'm looking for...some straight talk, what are the issues being worked on, and what direction we are leaning...you know, a status report that doesn't have double/hidden meanings and CYA statements...Thanks again

It has been a long time since high school physics (45 min in college dosen't count) but I believe Boyles Law explains why airplanes fly and why nature abhors a vacuum. The two sentences in blue above just might be related. I know I know read my contract. ;)

We wouldn't be forced to rely on(very reliable) second-hand info if we got more from our Union. The only thing I've heard recently are crickets chirping. Oh yeah, I stand corrected they came up with the slogan of "bid what you want to fly", that was a big help. My rant is not aimed directly at you, but more towards the people above you. Without you, there would be no comm.
BTW, I just voted NO again.
