Burned DHL 767 at SFO Photo Gallery by ksfo at pbase.com

Sorry; I don't know any other details. Looks like a fire in the flight deck area.

Funny thing is the mechanic said he could MEL it. Little speedtape and you're good to go

After of course, and it was only the pressurization system that was affected. I heard they just added enough gas to make the flight at 10k and pressed on.

Pretty sorry that people are making jokes before they even know if anyone was injured. Both crewmembers had to egress out the clearview windows and one was treated for smoke inhalation at hospital. They are both OK now, though. Apparently arson is suspected.

Really, arson? Now THAT makes me feel very uneasy. How in the world would arson come into play? Disgruntled employee? If some freak of nature is allowed access to parked planes to allow something like this happen should have everyone up in arms. Calm my nerves a little bit or get them standing on end, just tell me more about how arson is suspected.
