FDX Mgmt Preparing New Offer

Watchout guys, our management has prepared the ground work for another cash offer. The latest company communication that was quoted in Air Transport World about how management and the pilots are in fruitful negotiations is absolutely wrong. Management's goal is to set the tone to the business world that everything is fine. Then, they will throw us another offer which goes around our negotiating team and which fails to address our core issues. The offer will be a slight increase in money and that's all. Our union will reject it again, as they should, which then gives our corporate communication department the ability to broadcast to the world that the pilots are not negotiating fairly or at all. Management will accuse our union of not representing the best interests of the pilots by not presenting the offer for a vote, which will be an attempt to create doubt in the pilot's minds about our union leadership.

Don't fall for it! Fly 100% and that's all. Stop flying draft and volunteer, and take your vacation.

I wear my 100.0% hat every time I go to work. I saw at least six more hats last night. I believe they're becoming more popular.

(That's "one hundred POINT zero" percent, just in case you missed it. ;) )

Same here. Not like it will probably matter in the end, but it does get peoples' attention.

I'll take it a step further.............................

FDX mgt will give us an Offer that "Appears to have" a monetary raise!

In the details any "Pay Raise" will be offset by a negative change in work rules,(such as loss of MPDP-E) or hiding a scheduling tool known as PBS.

Don't listen to any offer that the company puts out to the membership directly..........if it is a good deal our negotiating team would have sent it to us to vote on....................

But that is assuming it was even offered to the negotitating committee.
Remember history, just like last time............MGT negotiated directly with the Mass and avoided (by-Passed) our negotiating committee.

Don't fall for it.......................

See you all at the Rally today!!

And pass the word not to fly draft and volunteer. I am still running into people who claim that it is alright since nobody in the union has come right out and said it. They legally can't, and the guys who keep flying it are just *****s who want to make money on our backs. If they continue we will never have a contract.

So when will RED LETTER #3 be arriving in my mailbox??

If any junior FedEx pilot reading these posts has never read through our PILOT HISTORY on the FedEx/ALPA website, open up a new browser window right now!

Go to crewroom.alpa.org, then log-on, select (dropdown menu) My MEC/LEC - FDX, and click on FedEx Pilot History under the "Quick Links" on the left side of the page. When you're done reading, ask yourself if anything sounds familiar....

Better yet ... next time you're stuck on airport standby or enjoying that "complimentary hi-speed internet access" in your hotel room, go to the Negotiating Committee's page and re-examine our openers compared to management's. Then tell me which side was more serious (and prepared) going into these "good faith negotiations." We're dealing with FedEx's one-trick pony on a grand stage.

Brace yourself for the pony to show up next at your doorstep, mailbox, inbox, etc. looking eeriely similar to a deceitful Greek present. BOHICA ... there's a Trojan thingamajig coming our way!

100.0% ... TWO YEARS IS LONG ENOUGH. The sooner we stop flying extra, the sooner we can deposit our retro pay!!

as far as salary goes, what exactly do fedex pilots want? $250,000 for a 10 year captain? How much are fedex pilots requesting for captains? Also, I think I saw on this forum where someone mentioned that after 2 or 3 years and you move to the f/o seat, you should expect over six figures. How is that possible, because according to the pay chart on this web site, even 4th year f/o don't even make over six figures. Whats up with that??

boxhauler 03-09-2006 03:39 PM

At FDX most guys get close to 1000 hrs of of flight time in a year. so a 4 yr 27 F/O makes 102hr and a 4 yr Widebody F/O makes 120hr. so six figure salaries makes sense. right now guys can have widebody F/O their 2nd yr.
