UPS Hiring Minimums

Fellow UPSers,
I'm currently a part-time driver in PHX, and I'll probably have my Commercial and Multi-Engine ratings by year's end. I'd love to fly for UPS, but I obviously won't have the Jet or Turboprop time that they require. So, I've got two questions:

1) Does UPS give preference to current employees when hiring?

2) Would they be more lenient on the minimums for an existing employee?

I'm guessing that I'm going to have to go to a regional to eventually get my minimums up for what UPS is asking for, and I probably wouldn't be able to keep my driving job. I'd love for it all to work out in the end. I'd just like some advice or suggestions...if anyone is willing.

Thanks,
FG

I think that they do give some preference if you were a prior employee.

But your answer to the second part is no, they are not more lenient on the hours.

I'm gonna say no and no. You need to meet the mins and have a recommendation to have a shot at an interview.
