Unhappy UPS - sad news...

Did not know the gentleman but my thoughts and my prayers are with him and his family. I'll also make a small contribution to the children's fund in lieu of flowers as requested by the relatives...

(wasn't sure if I'm allowed to post his name so I only use the first letter of his last name - if it's ok, maybe the moderator can include his full name)

Chris was born and grew up about 10 miles from where I live. Although I never met him, I'm sure he was quite a guy. To his family, friends, and my UPS brothers, I'm truly sorry for your loss.

I had the honor of having him on my jumpseat on Monday from Hkg. I'm still in shock. My thoughts are with his family. He was truly a fine individual.

I flew with Chris. Seriously great guy and it was a real pleasure to see his name as the CA when you pulled up your schedule for the trip.

Rest in peace.

Never met the man, but I grieve for him and his loved ones. Let us all pause for even a moment and appreciate what we have, because it's fleeting even more than we know.
