Astar pilots to picket UPS corporate HQ

Just wait for the Ky legislators to start lobbying on UPS' behalf. It sucks that Ohio is losing jobs, but the move will create some downriver in Louisville. DHL can contract with whomever they want. It's no different than the USPS/FDX deal.

Don't be too hard on these guys, they are quite literally fighting for theirs lives ( or at least life styles). I don't blame them for pulling out every last trick in the book. ALPA 017 is obliged to do what ever it can to save those jobs, our opinion about whether or not its futile is moot.
I still hope that most of the quality individuals get offered positions at Brown if they wish to start over again.
IF they are successful, so be it, we wont be as bad off as they are now. Even if UPS has a furlough, there will be a recall some day. Astar and ABX can't say the same.
Good luck brothers, its going to be an uphill battle.

If they think UPS gives a rats a$$ what ANY pilot group thinks, then they are living in another world. I do understand they are fighting for their jobs, but someone needs to explain to them what UPS thinks of their own labor groups. I really don't think UPS will even know they are there.

I guarantee you that UPS will know they are there, but not for the same reason that the Astar pilots are hoping for. You know that UPS LP will be taping the pickets to gather intel on the picketers. So much for your interview with UPS when they pull out the tapes and there you are protesting.
